Gal Post was just over 100 bucks, paint $20, 4 bags 20kg concrete mix $8 per bag, $120 for the gal frame, hardware $70, and merbau deck around $5 per linear meter......all adds up. I took my time with it, couple of weekends work I guess, digging the hole was a pain...especially on hard clay....then priming and painting post....then setting it on concrete....more time waiting for it to dry cos u cant use quick set concrete.....
I gotta do the other side now...but means fixing another post to my brick wall....bit hesitant drilling into it... lol....
But it is rewarding it doing it yourself, I learned a lot plus you know yourself you want the job done to a quality up to your own satisfaction
